I'm heading off to Allihies in West Cork for the next three weeks and they don't do things like broadband and blogging down there. In fact it's frowned upon. As such I'll be incommunicado for the next 21 days or so. I trust that I'll find you all in good stead upon my return. Cheerio.

Well Matt, you seem to be a bit out of date. There is broadband available and internet access in the village shop in Allihies. We're not completely behind the times here. Enjoy your visit.
Just back from the lovely Allihies and as the comment above says they've installed internet access in the local shop since I was there a few months ago. I still couldn't have been arsed blogging because i was on my holidays. Well done John Terry O'Sullivan for the interweb trickery in Allihies. I look forward to seeing the mining museum next time I'm down.
