a daring rescue

I received the call first thing this morning. There was an urgency in the request and as such i felt obliged to help an old friend. We arranged our rendezvous for this evening and we both nervously awaited the arrival of the courier. I'd agreed to store it for a couple of weeks before it made its way to its final destination. I don't know what i was thinking. If my wife finds out she'll be pretty upset. Damn it though! I felt I owed it to myself to help out.

The Don Rosco has taken it upon himself to rescue the jukebox and promises to bring it back to life. The box I refer to is of course this one and as you will see it looks absolutely nothing like the one in the original post. It's amazing how the mind convinces you things are better looking than they actually are. Anyway she's still a beauty and i can't wait to hear it rocking. Here she is awaiting restoration in my garage.

It'd better have Young Turks by Rod Stewart on it

Jim - The Don Rosco better fix it or i'll berate him for the rest of his life.

National - It'll have the complete Rod Stewart back catalogue on it. I'll insist on it. In the interim if you're stuck go in to the Hacienda Bar in the fruit markets. Shay, the owner, plays Rod on the jukebox all night long.

MP3 - I'll insist on a gala opening night. All the celebs will be there. Eugene Lambert, Fran Dempsey and the whole Jo Maxi team. It's going to be great.

The eejit queued up for it at midnight when it was released. He puts those U2 fans to shame.
